The Archetto Antico is a traditional antique finished violin fitted with a pickup. The Archetto Antico can be played acousticlly or can simply be plugged into an amplifier via the pickup. Hand crafted using wood that has been matured for 7 years; the Antico violin produces a clear crisp sound, and resonates beautifully through the scales.
Archetto violins are built to exacting standards using only quality tone woods, from hand cut maple back and sides, to ebony (never ebonized) pegs for ease of tuning. Fingerboards, end pin and chinrest are also Ebony wood, and your bow is quality Brazil wood with untreated Mongolian Horse hair. The top is made from hand cut Spruce wood. The tailpiece is made from a metal alloy and comes compete with fine tuners. The strings provided with the Violin are steel wound. Pickup is fitted inside violin, and amplifier output is placed on bottom of violin. Control board is built with volume control and passive tone control.
The Archetto Antico comes complete with a bow and hard case.
