Product Description

This versatile Triton FJA300 finger jointer fits straight onto the Triton router table for the easy and accurate cutting of attractive box joints. It provides the simplest way to make perfect 1/4 and 1/2-inch box joints in boards of 3-32 mm in thickness, and is a useful and rewarding addition to the workshop.

The finger jointer assembly provides a solid yet precisely adjustable framework so that you can achieve the accurate thickness and flatness you need to create sound, reliable joints. In the case of joints where 0.5 mm or less can be the difference between too tight and too loose, the Triton finger jointer’s accuracy of adjustment really comes in handy. In addition, the Triton finger jointer can cut several joints at the same time. It can, for example, cut four pieces from identical-width board, all of the same length or two pairs of different lengths.

The Triton FJA300 finger jointer is specifically designed for use with the Triton RTA300 router table. To use the finger jointer, you just need to fit a 1/4 or 1/2-inch straight cutter into the collet of your router and set the cutter height so that the tip is approximately 0.5 mm above the thickness of the workpiece.

Mounted on the sliding frame of the router table, the finger jointer enables precise positioning and control of the cut. The initial cut stop on the jointer offsets the workpieces being joined exactly as needed to form the complementary ‘fingers’.

The Triton finger jointer has been designed for use with a vacuum cleaner for chip extraction. Simply attach the vacuum hose, supplied with your router table, to the dust port on the fixed fence of the Triton finger jointer, and connect the hose adaptor to the wand of your vacuum cleaner. The end of the adjustable fence remains open to provide a through-flow of air for effective extraction.
