Flectabed is unique thermal bedding made using a revolutionary lightweight material called Flectalon; this is a web of aluminised polypropylene, which provides two major elements of thermal insulation. The first being that its multi layers trap air enabling the second element - the reflective surface, to reflect infra red body heat back up to the animal. Flectabed consists of an inner quilt containing the layers of aluminised polypropylene, and a fleece outer cover. Extensive studies have proved that even if the bed is put onto cold concrete the animals body heat would not be reduced as its unique properties have the ability to reflect this heat back. These studies have shown Flectalon to be superior to Polyester Hollow Fibre. Available in four sizes.
