The Leica 8x20 BR Ultravid Black Binoculars 40252 are brighter, sharper, more compact, more functional and robust than previous binoculars of its lens size. The use of asphericial lenses means that the binoculars offer a sharp image right to the edge whithout colour fringing and because of the close focusing distance these little Ultravids can pick out a robin on the floor at your feet. The binoculars are very robust as Leica have developed a vulcanisation method which ensures that the rubber armoured finish is inseparable from the metal housing even in the harshest conditions. They are guaranteed to be waterproof down to 5m (16.5ft) and are nitrogen filled to prevent fogging. The rubber armour finish offers a warm and secure feel to the binoculars.
